Somehow you can’t just hate on Simi. Her ethereal vocals are soothing on a day love fails you, the message in her songs warms and embraces your heart from cold-hearted people, she’s so much perfected that ability to sing about love. Flawless and she just happens to get it right.

While many might have spoken about Simi staying stuck to singing about love, much of the music we listen to is based on love.
Take a cursory look at your playlist, the albums you’ve listened to this week, love is the central unifier of all genres in this country.

“When you talk about love, it encompasses so many things. Not women or sex alone, but issues that are love-related that could keep you happy.
I can’t see myself doing a song that is too political or not love-related.
It’s always good to carve a niche and spread it to other related issues without deviating.”
